Tricia was born and raised in Kelowna and has been teaching since 1992. Her highland dancing and  career began in Kelowna at an early age under the teachings of Lori Larson. As a competitive dancer her travels took her across Canada, western USA and Scotland. She found significant success as a British Columbia Highland Dance representative competing at the Canadian interprovincials. Some of her highest achievements have been 3rd runner up in BC twice, 2nd and 3rd runner up in western USA, 3rd runner up in British Open and 5th runner up in British overseas. Her instruction was not only in Highland but also ballet, tap, jazz and music, which lead her to participating yearly in the Nutcracker with the Canadian School of Ballet and the actor’s studios winter pantomimes.

Upon opening her own dance studio, she has had dancers making it to the top six in BC championships, British overseas and many other championships here in Canada and in Scotland
